Chillin' With Crum: Losing a Legend

Posted on: February 14, 2009 11:15 pm

Hello everybody, I know its been a while since my last post, but I'm back. Today, I'll give you my take on Brett Favre's retirement, it's impact on the league, and in a non-related topic, my WWE No Way Out Predictions. Let's go.

I love Brett Favre. Greatest quarterback to ever live, in my opinion. He holds so many records, has so many fans and has made such an impact. A countless number of QB's have entered and left league while Brett Favre has been around. He's gone to 2 Super Bowls. He's won a Super Bowl. He's the only man to win 3 consecutive MVP awards. He will be missed.

Now what impact does this have on the league? The Jets will probably not be as good as this past year. I know that at the end of the season, he had horrible stats, and the team pretty much went belly up. But also, so many fans won't be able to see one of the greats play anymore. Will this hurt ratings? Who knows, all I know, however, is that the NFL has lost a legend. Good Luck in all your future endeavours Brett. You will be missed.

Ok, now on to a totally unrelated topic, the WWE, and thier next PPV "No Way Out". My predictions are as follows:

ECW Title: Finlay Vs. Jack Swagger

Winner: Finlay                                                                                                                                                                         Rundown: Finlay has only held one title in his carrer, and that is the United States title a couple years ago. He's due for a title reign. He's on a good face run, and I think that it won't be Swagger's night at No Way Out

Winner Take All: HBK Shawn Michaels Vs. John "Bradshaw" Layfield

Winner: HBK                                                                                                                                                                          Rundown: Really, its a smart marketing/ratings decision. Who wants to see JBL own the namesake of Shawn Michaels? Not me, that's for sure. Anyway, Shawn Michaels is a much better wrestler. Good job getting out of this awful feud, HBK

Shane McMahon Vs. Randy Orton (No Holds Barred Match)

Winner: Randy Orton                                                                                                                                                              Rundown: I want Shane O'Mac to win, but I don't think he will. Over the last few weeks, Legacy keeps getting involved in Orton's matches/promos/etc. Look for Rhodes and DiBiase to interfere and help Randy win

World Heavyweight Championship: John Cena (c) Vs. Kane Vs. Rey Mysterio Vs. Kofi Kingston Vs. Mike Knox Vs. Y2J Chris Jericho (Elimination Chamber Match)

Winner: Y2J                                                                                                                                                                         Rundown: I'll give you the order of Eliminations: Kofi Kingston, Mike Knox, Rey Mysterio, and then, John Cena eliminates Kane after the FU, then while Cena is paying attention, Y2J hits a codebreaker then applies the Walls of Jericho and then Cena taps out. Jericho is your winner

WWE Championship: Edge (c) Vs. Triple H Vs. Vladmir Kozlov Vs. Jeff Hardy Vs. Big Show Vs. Undertaker (Elimination Chamber Match)

Winner: Undertaker                                                                                                                                                                Rundown: Elimination Order: Kozlov eliminates HHH and Hardy. Edge eliminates Kozlov. 'Taker gets revenge from the Royal Rumble and eliminates Show. Then Edge and Undertaker battle it out. Edge hits a spear, but then, just like at WMXXIV, Undertaker traps Edge in the "Devil's Gate" and Edge taps. 'Taker wins

Well I hope you enjoyed this article and will stay tuned for more. Until next time, I AM OUT
